WEEKEND FIVE; Strategies for Success. August 18-19.
Strategies are the means through which all things are accomplished from getting out of bed to all our daily activities and, in fact, humankind's greatest achievements (and failures). There are procrastination strategies and motivation strategies, etc. Strategies are about how the mind sequences thought through mental imaging, internal self talk, feelings etc. Our internal processing of a strategy is at an unconscious level so that for all practical purposes the individual does not recognize his/her own strategy. Learn how to identify strategies, to model and install success strategies in self and others.
WEEKEND SIX: Meta Programs. September 22-23.
A major NLP Presupposition is that we are consistently creating our own reality through our beliefs, perceptions and filters. Another is that we are constantly communicating these beliefs and filters through our language patterns and nonverbal behavior. In the field of NLP, there are linguistic distinctions that are much more precise in every context. These distinctions are called sorting styles or more commonly, Meta-programs. In this module you will learn how to reliably predict someone else's (or your own) success in any given situation by linguistically identifying their Meta programs in a brief conversational process.
WEEKEND SEVEN: Timelines. October 20-21.
How do you think of time, more specifically, your life in terms of your years of having lived and the future you anticipate? What is your metaphor for life. Do you think of it as a journey? A mission" An opportunity, What. What do you do with Time you have lived" Put it aside? Put it behind you? Continue to relive it? How about the now? The future? The Timeline concept provides a means to explore the method each individual has developed to organize time and of how it is represented internally. Is yours orqanized in a way that is effective for you? Enables you to more effectively plan and achieve your goals? This is usually a fun and insightful weekend.
Weekend Eight:
Neurological Levels: Beliefs ars reflected up and down the levels.
Probably the beliefs that have the most profound effect on our lives are not even recognized as beliefs because they are those long. long ago conclusions or generalizations of a young child who had limited knowledge and very little experience. These experiences might have been simple disappointments, not measuring up to expectations of self or other, attributes given by an authority figure, etc. These seemingly minor incidents that cause a child to think; "I'm not good enough", "I can never learn X", "I'm dumb" or remarks of others, "why are you so dumb, such a klutz," "you are just not the math student your sister is", etc may lie dormant for years until triggered by a challenge. Have you ever had an experience in which you found yourself saying, "I know I'm and intelligent person but inside I feel completely stupid." Learn how to identify and root out negative and limiting beliefs. There is a "belief destroyer"
